Privacy notice
Effective: September 15, 2026
The short version
PassGrid processes your selected photograph locally in your browser. PassGrid does not upload, store, or receive the photograph. Like most websites, the hosting provider and third-party resources may receive standard technical information when your browser requests a page or file.
Photo processing
Your browser reads the image you select and uses it for face detection, cropping, optional enhancement, previewing, and export. These operations happen on your device. PassGrid has no backend endpoint for receiving images and does not create an online copy of your photo.
The downloaded PDF or JPEG is generated locally and is saved only where you choose to save it.
Information handled by service providers
PassGrid is delivered through a web-hosting provider and loads some resources from third-party content-delivery networks. When your browser requests these resources, those providers may receive standard request data such as your IP address, browser type, requested URL, referring page, and request time. PassGrid does not include your selected photograph in these requests.
Current third-party resources include Google Fonts, jsDelivr for face-api.js and its model files, and cdnjs for jsPDF. Their handling of request data is governed by their own privacy policies.
Advertising and cookies
PassGrid may display advertising supplied by Google AdSense in the future. If advertising is enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, or similar technologies to deliver, measure, and personalize ads, subject to applicable law and your consent choices.
Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on a user's previous visits to this or other websites. You can manage personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings. You can also learn about choices offered by participating advertising providers at YourAdChoices.
Where required, a consent message will be shown before advertising cookies or similar technologies are used. Declining personalized advertising will not prevent you from using PassGrid.
Analytics
PassGrid does not currently operate its own analytics system. If analytics are added later, this notice will be updated to identify the service and explain the choices available to users.
Data retention
Because PassGrid does not receive your photograph or require an account, it does not retain either. Hosting providers, content-delivery networks, and advertising providers may retain standard request or advertising data according to their own policies and legal obligations.
Children's privacy
PassGrid is a general-purpose utility and is not directed specifically to children. It does not knowingly collect photographs or account information from children.
Your choices
- You can use browser controls to block or delete cookies.
- You can manage Google ad personalization through Google Ads Settings.
- You can leave the site before selecting an image; no image is uploaded at any stage.
- You can block third-party requests, although doing so may disable face detection, fonts, PDF export, or advertising.
Changes to this notice
This notice may be updated when PassGrid's services or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top will be revised when a material update is published.
